Telangana: Former councilors slam govt for delaying salaries of sanitation workers in Kagaznagar
Former BRS councillors extended support to sanitation workers protesting in Kagaznagar over five months of unpaid salaries. They criticised the municipality and the local MLA, demanded immediate release of wages, and warned of intensified protests if the issue remains unresolved.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Former councilors of the BRS said delaying salaries to sanitation workers was an unfair act by Kagaznagar municipality. They extended solidarity to sanitation workers who were staging a protest seeking wages for five months by staging a sit-in in front of the municipality in Kagaznagar, on Tuesday.
The councilors regretted that the government had not been paying salaries to the workers for the last five months. Delaying the salaries by the government was a shameful act. They stated that it was acting as if it had no connection to the workers. They slammed local MLA Dr Harish Babu for showing negligence in addressing the challenge for five months.
They affirmed that they would always stand in support of the workers. They demanded the government to take steps to release the salaries at the earliest. They warned that they would intensify a stir if it did not accede to the demand. Former councilors and leaders, including Banka Shiva Prasad, Vijay Yadav, Thati Jai Chander, Vanamala Ramu, Vali, Baba, Maheboob, Wasim, and Zakir, were present.
