This time, the CBSE introduced on-screen marking (OSM) for evaluation of the Class XII answer books. The new initiative helped the Board to evaluate answer scripts in any part of the country and abroad in schools affiliated to the CBSE without physically shifting the answer books to the evaluation centres.

Meanwhile, the CBSE said supplementary examinations will be conducted on July 15. Students who passed Class XII now and wish to improve their performance in one subject only and candidates who are placed in compartment category are eligible to sit for supplementary exams.

Students who appeared in Class XII in 2025 and placed in the compartmental category can also apply. As three opportunities are given to clear the compartment, this examination will be the last opportunity for these students, the CBSE said.

Submission of List of Candidates (LOC) for the supplementary examinations by schools will commence on June 2. Students who wish to improve their performance after passing main exams in 2026 and candidates who are placed under the compartment category in main exams can sit for the supplementary exams.
