Telangana government accords permission to implement Indira Soura Giri Jala Vikasam scheme

Aims at providing comprehensive development of RoFR land; budget outlay for the scheme is Rs 12,600 crore

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Thursday approved permission to the Commissioner of Tribal Welfare and Ex-Officio Managing Director, TRICOR, to implement a new scheme, ‘Indira Soura Giri Jala Vikasam’, for providing comprehensive development of RoFR land.

To this effect, GOMs 15 was issued on Thursday. The budget outlay for the scheme is Rs 12,600 crore. Nearly 2.30 lakh farmers were issued RoFR pattas in the past covering 6.69 lakh acres.


Under the scheme, the solar pumpset facility is to be extended for ensuring irrigation to such land. Accordingly, each unit cost is fixed at Rs 6 lakh under the STSDF for a period of five years commencing from the 2025-26 fiscal year.
