Hyderabad: With incessant rains across Hyderabad and several districts of Telangana, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to stay on high alert. Amid the warnings issued by the India Meteorological Department that heavy rains may persist for another three days, he asked them to take all precautionary steps.

The Chief Minister instructed all District Collectors to ensure that harvested paddy in procurement centres and markets was protected from rain and moved swiftly to rice mills. He also stressed the need for appropriate measures to safeguard residents in low-lying areas.

In Hyderabad, he directed GHMC, police, HYDRAA, traffic police, HMWSSB and Electricity departments to work in close coordination to prevent waterlogging, traffic disruptions and power outages. The Chief Secretary has been tasked to monitor the situation constantly and ensure swift response wherever needed.
