Telangana government rolls out new procedure for post-matric scholarships

Starting from the academic year 2024-25, the new procedure for SC students, as per the Central government's instructions, requires candidates to authenticate their details on the ePass website. Hyderabad: The State government has rolled out a new procedure for post-matric scholarships registration.

Applicable to SC students from the academic year 2024-25, the new procedure issued as per the instructions from the Central government mandates candidates for demo authentication on the ePass website.

Students must ensure that their name on the Aadhaar and SSC certificate is the same, else they have to rectify it in the Aadhaar.

Following this, students have to give their biometric authentication at a MeeSeva centre and later complete registration on the ePass website. Students have to complete Aadhaar seeding of the bank account as well.

The government asked principals/colleges to purchase the digital keys and register on the ePass website. Further, the colleges should verify the applications online and forward the same to the district offices for sanctions, through digital keys.

“The new procedure for registration and sanction of post-matric scholarships to SC students is also kept at the home page of ePass website. The students are requested to go through the procedure and register their scholarship applications on the ePass website,” said Dr. TK Sridevi, Commissioner Scheduled castes development department.
