Telangana government signs Rs 1 lakh crore green energy deals under new policy
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka outlines the 2025 New Energy Policy, says State aims to generate 20,000 MW of green power by 2030 through diverse renewable sources
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said that agreements worth Rs 1 lakh crore have been signed for green power generation in Telangana.
He further stated that the State government has introduced the 2025 New Energy Policy, aiming to achieve 20,000 MW of green power by 2030.
Speaking to media persons after visiting the Greenko Integrated Power Project in Pinnapuram village, Orvakal mandal, Kurnool, on Saturday, he highlighted Telangana’s vision for renewable energy.
The Telangana government is exploring various avenues to enhance power generation and move towards surplus electricity. Several countries are promoting electricity generation through diverse methods such as solar, wind, thermal, pumped storage, floating solar, and hydrogen power, the Deputy Chief Minister added.
