Telangana government to offer marriage incentive to differently abled

The Rs 1 lakh incentive to be extended for marriage between two differently-abled persons; GO Ms 7 issued in this regard

Hyderabad: The State government has decided to extend the Rs 1 lakh marriage incentive award for marriage between two differently-abled persons. The cash benefit will be offered in the name of the wife and GO Ms 7 was issued to this effect on Monday.

In the past, the incentive was awarded if only one person was differently abled. Now, it has been decided to award for marriage between two differently-abled persons. In March 2018, the incentive was increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh by the previous government.
