Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the State government was committed in executing the Musi River Rejuvenation project.

“The Congress government is committed to transform River Musi into fresh water river and turn it into a boon for Hyderabad. Irrespective of the hurdles and expenditure, government will take up the project,” he said at the Telangana Builders Green Summit organized here on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the Fourth City would be Hyderabad’s Future City. It would be developed as a global hub and centre. As part of construction of Net Zero city, the government would take policy decisions to ensure there would not be any kind of problems in future in the region, he said.

The State government under its new energy policy had set a target to generate 20,000 MW green power by 2029-30 and it would be scaled up to 40,000 MW by 2035.

An amount of Rs 10,000 crore has been allocated in one year to Hyderabad city for development works, he said, adding that all the diesel vehicles in Hyderabad city would be gradually changed into electric vehicles.
