Kothagudem: The State government aims to provide shelter to all orphans who lost their parents or were abandoned by their parents, stated Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said that no one in the State should be left as orphans and that the government would don the role of parents for orphans, he said speaking after inaugurating a Shishu Gruha in Bhadrachalam town in the district on Saturday.

The Minister informed that Balala Sadanam at the town has been converted into Shishu Gruha to enable children to be adopted through the orphanage. He said he was happy to see the building equipped with all the amenities.


Children under the age of six years would be sheltered at the facility and a staff of six would be available at all times to look after them. Play equipment, nutritious food three times a day would be provided along with a doctor and an ANM for their health care, Ajay Kumar said.

The orphanage manager would oversee all the facilities from time to time and collect details of the children’s care and report to superiors. The government has set up the Shishu Gruha specifically for the adoption of children, he explained.

Earlier in the day Ajay Kumar along with Government Whip Rega Kantha Rao, ZP Chairman Koram Kanakaiah and Bhadrachalam MLA Podem Veeraiah inaugurated central lighting and dividers constructed with a cost of Rs 60 lakh in the town. He laid the foundation stone for the works to be undertaken at a cost of Rs 1.06 crore DMFT funds in Narsapuram gram panchayat in Dummugudem mandal and inaugurated Palle Prakriti Vanam at the village.

Later in the evening, Ajay Kumar inaugurated newly developed road dividers and central light lighting in Kothagudem town. MLC B Lakshminarayana, District Library Chairman Dindigala Rajender and District Collector D Anudeep were present.

Development of villages possible only with TRS: MLA

Karimnagar: Husnabad MLA Vodithela Satish Kumar observed that development of villages was possible only with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and urged people to elect TRS candidate in the Huzurabad by-polls with a thumping majority. Satish Kumar participated in the TRS party workers meeting held in Dharmarajupalli of Huzurabad mandal on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said it was the TRS party which worked hard and introduced a number of schemes for the development of the State during the last seven years. Besides 24 hours power supply, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and other schemes have been implemented to protect the interests of farmers, he said. Talking about Dalit Bandhu scheme, the MLA opined that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has set a new record by introducing the scheme. About 20,000 dalit families from Huzurabad constituency would be benefitted under the scheme, he said.

Former Minister E Peddireddy opined that Huzurabad is going to experience a massive development in the coming future. The constituency would be developed on a par with Siddipet with the initiatives of Finance Minister T Harish Rao, he said. Informing that TRS was strong in Huzurabad, he said development of the segment was not possible with BJP. ZPTC Padidam Bakka Reddy, village Sarpanch Laxma Reddy, TRS leaders Cholleti Kishan Reddy, Sangem Illaiah, Edapalli Kondal Reddy and others participated in the meeting.
