Telangana govt declares holiday on September 6 in Hyderabad, other districts

The Telangana government has declared September 6 a general holiday for all government offices, schools and colleges in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts due to the Ganesh immersion. October 11, a second Saturday, will be a working day instead.

Hyderabad: The State government on Wednesday declared September 6 (Saturday) as a general holiday for all government offices, schools and colleges in and around Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. The decision was taken in view of the Ganesh idol immersion procession scheduled for Saturday.

Consequently, October 11, which is a second Saturday, has been declared a working day for all government offices, schools and colleges in these districts. This will be in lieu of the general holiday on September 6.
