Hyderabad: The State government has on Tuesday clarified that the permission for Aditya Kedia Realtors Company to construct a multi storeyed building at Manchirevula was renewed following the High Court orders.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) had renewed the permission for Aditya Company’s project as per High Court orders. It further said that there was no violation of any rules.

In 2022, HMDA had approved permission for Aditya Kedia Realtors Company for construction of a multi-storyed high rise structure in an area covering 9.19 acres at Manchirevula village, Gandipet mandal.

However, during a joint inspection conducted by HMDA, Irrigation and Revenue officials on July 3, 2023, it was observed that the company had constructed a retaining wall on the buffer zone of river Musi, a statement from the government said.

Following which, on August 2, 2023, HMDA had served a show cause notice to the company. As the explanation given by the company was not satisfactory, HMDA cancelled the building permission on August 18, 2023. It also issued orders to the company to clear the retaining wall, it stressed.

Challenging the HMDA orders of cancellation of the building permission, the management of Aditya Company approached the High Court.

Accordingly, the High Court had issued an interim order directing the departments to conduct another inspection and submit a report. Following the court order, officials conducted inspections on February 26, 2024 and noticed that the company had cleared the retaining wall, the statement read.

Further, on March 1, 2024, the High Court directed the government to renew the permissions. In the wake of the High Court ruling, the building permission had to be renewed. On 20 June 2024, the HMDA issued an order renewing the permissions, the government explained in the statement.

Also, the government said on May 12, 2022, Aditya company applied to the HMDA, seeking permission to construct a 38-storeyed high rise structure in 9.19 acres in survey No. 476/AA1, 476/AA2 at Manchirevula village.

After noticing that the proposed structure was falling under river limits, the HMDA sought clarification from the company. On October 8, 2021, it submitted the NOC issued by the Irrigation department and Rangareddy District Collector.

Aditya management was instructed to pay the prescribed fee for granting building permission after the committee discussed the company’s Multi Storey Building (MSB) project at length. Accordingly, HMDA issued the building permission on August 19, 2022 after the prescribed fee was paid.
