Balkonda: MLC K Kavitha on Tuesday criticised the BJP leaders in the State for their irrelevant ranting to derive political mileage.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for various development works in Bheemgal town in Balkonda Assembly constituency, she said the people always bless leaders who continuously work for the welfare and development of the people. She said the people in the State blessed TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao and made him the Chief Minister of Telangana twice. It was the Chief Minister’s commitment that helped Telangana emerge as the number one State in the country within seven years of its formation.
When the TRS government was striving to develop the State on all fronts, some leaders were speaking as per their whims and fancies to derive political mileage, she said, adding that it was like giving a knife to one person and asking another person to fight the war.
Kavitha called upon the people to support leaders who work for the development of all sections but not leaders who only speak politics. She along with the Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for 18 development works worth Rs 30 crore in Bheemgal.
She said Bheemgal was witnessing rapid development under the leadership of Prashanth Reddy. “It is our responsibility to make Balkonda into a golden Balkonda,” she said, announcing that a 100-bed hospital would be established in Bheemgal soon.
Prashanth Reddy said it was the TRS government that was implementing various welfare schemes in the State and asked why the BJP and the Congress-ruled States were not implementing the same schemes. He recalled that the MLC Kavitha requested the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao to make Bheemgal a municipality and also helped in sanctioning Rs.25 crore for Bheemgal. The foundation stone was laid for construction of a bypass road in the town, widening of the road between Bheemgal and Marthaad, LED central lighting facility, construction of integrated veg and non-veg market and development of Mogilicheruvu Tree Park among others.
