Nalgonda: Miryalaguda MLA N Bhasker Rao on Tuesday said the State government was committed to develop infrastructure and facilities in addition to green coverage in towns.
Laying foundation stone for a bridge across Paleru Vagu (stream) at Kalwalapalem in Madgulapally mandal with Rs 4 crores, Bhasker Rao reminded that the State government has released Rs 148 crore for municipalities and Rs 339 for Gram Panchayats every month during Covid pandemic time also. Telangana State stood as a model in implementation of welfare schemes in the country. Pattana Pragathi, Palle Pragathi and Telangana Ku Haritha Haram have changed the face of rural and urban areas in the State. The State government would not compromise on the welfare of the people at any cost, he added.
The MLA said that Constituency Development Fund (CDF) would also facilitate MLAs to speed up development works. He reminded that new tractors, auto trolleys were purchased for door-to-door waste collection in Miryalaguda municipality with Rs 1.67 crore of District Mineral Fund (DMF). People of Miryalaguda were getting supply of safe drinking water under Mission Bhagiratha, he said.
He said that proposals have been sent to the government for construction of vege and non-veg markets at Miryalaguda. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao also sanctioned a food-processing unit to the Assembly constituency, the MLA added.
