MLA R Kantha Rao handed over the CMRF cheque to a beneficiary in Burgampahad mandal in Kothagudem district on Friday.

Kothagudem: The State government was giving priority to infrastructure development in rural and agency areas in the State, said Government Whip and Pinapaka MLA, Rega Kantha Rao.

The MLA said the government has been spending huge amounts of funds on providing basic facilities for people. He along with RTC officials inspected the renovation works of an RTC bus stand at Manugur on Friday.


Speaking on the occasion Kantha Rao directed the officials to speed up the works and to ensure quality in the works. He informed that the bus stand was being renovated with an expenditure of Rs 70 lakhs and modern facilities would be provided at the bus stand.

Later in the day, he handed over a CMRF cheque worth Rs 4 lakh to a beneficiary at Morampalli Banjar in Burgampahad mandal in the district. The CMRF scheme has been providing succor to poor families to meet their medical expenses.

The rule of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been brightening up the lives of poorer sections. Chandrashekhar Rao’s regime has achieved tremendous growth in a short period of time and no other Chief Minister was able to do so in the past, Kantha Rao said.
