Hyderabad: The State government has revised the pay scales of contract Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (VASs) from Rs 35,000 to Rs.54,220 from June 2021 subject to continuation of their services from time to time with the approval of the government on contract basis.
The VASs are working under the administrative control of Director, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry. The Director, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry will take necessary action accordingly, Anita Rajendra, Secretary (Animal Husbandry) said in a Government Order.
The government revised the pay scales after the VASs submitted a representation seeking pay hike.
Telangana Veterinary Graduates Association president K Sridhar thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Finance Minister T Harish Rao and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav for increasing the pay scales of VASs.
