Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Saturday said that Telangana government has modernised all the government hospitals to provide quality healthcare services to public at free of cost.

Inaugurating the CT Scan facility and a modern diagnostic lab setup in the district government hospital at a cost of Rs 2.1 crore, Jagadish Reddy reminded that people were hesitating to go to government hospitals for treatment before 2014 due to poor quality of healthcare facilities. After the formation of Telangana State, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao focused on development of all government hospitals and also took measures to provide modern medical equipment to them. Due to the measures taken up by the State government, quality of treatment in government hospitals was improved on par with corporate hospitals. Hence, number of in-patients and out-patients in government hospitals increased manifold, he added.

Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy, Devarakonda MLA Ravindra Kumar Naik, Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Bhagat and the district Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil were also present.
