Medak: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said the Telangana government is a poor people’s government since they were continuing all the welfare schemes despite facing several financial challenges during the past few years.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating Commerical Complex at Agriculture Market in Chegunta Mandal headquarters on Monday, the Finance Minister, who came to Chegunta immediately after presenting 2022-23 budget in the State Assembly, has said that the Telangana government will grant Rs 3 lakhs to each of 3,000 families in every Assembly Constituency to help them realise owning an own house in their own lands.

Following the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the Minister said that they will give funds to another 3,000 families in the next financial year. He said that they have made budget allocations accordingly this year. Saying that the government will also start giving Aasara pensions to the people who had crossed 57 years from this financial year onwards, the Minister said that the government has decided to give KCR nutrition kits to women to combat anemia and malnourishment. He said that they were giving Aasara pensions to 38 lakhs which will give up now. Despite having several financial problems, he said that they were continuing all the welfare schemes. The Minister said that they were constantly working for the upliftment of the poor in Telangana.

After inaugurating the Commercial complex, Harish Rao said that he will soon grant Rs 60 lakhs to complete the incomplete Tehsildar and MPDO office in Mandal headquarters. He said that the commercial complex in the market yard will help to raise income. Apart from granting funds for developing Narsingi and Chegunta Mandal headquarter hospitals, Rao said that they will soon grant funds for five health sub-centres in these two Mandals. MP Medak Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLA M Padmadevendar Reddy, Zilla Parishad Chairperson R Hemalatha and others were present.
