Telangana govt issues guidelines for Unlock 5.0

However, separate orders regarding date of opening of schools and coaching institutions are to be issued by the government

Hyderabad: Under the Unlock 5.0 guidelines issued here on Wednesday, the State Government has permitted Business to Business (B2B) exhibitions to open from October 15 and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) will be issued by the government.

However, separate orders regarding date of opening of schools and coaching institutions are to be issued by the government. Regarding colleges and higher education institutions, online/distance learning would continue to be the preferred mode of teaching and should be encouraged.


Similarly, separate orders are to be issued regarding date of opening cinemas, theatres, multiplexes, entertainment parks and similar places. Swimming pools, which are being used for training sportspersons will be permitted to open from October 15.

Higher education institutions are permitted to open only for research scholars(Ph.D) and post-graduate students of technical and professional programmes, which require use of laboratory or experimental works from October 15.

However, for centrally funded higher education institutions, the institution head will satisfy the genuine requirement of research scholars (PhD) and post graduate students in science and technology stream for laboratory/experimental works. All other higher education institutions viz.. State universities, Private Universities etc, may open only for research scholars (PhD) and post graduate students in science and technology stream requiring laboratory/experimental works.

Social, academic, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, political functions and other congregations are permitted outside of containment zones with a ceiling of 100 persons while following health protocol with mandatory wearing of face masks, social distancing, provision for thermal scanning and hand wash or sanitizer.

Marriage related gatherings would be permitted with a maximum of 100 participants and funeral or last rites related gatherings permitted with number of persons not exceeding 100.

Regarding containment zones, strict lockdown will be in force till October 31 and only essential activities shall be permitted.
