Sangareddy: Ape Piaggo has inaugurated its first three-wheeler electric showroom outside Hyderabad city at Pothireddypally Circle in Sangareddy town on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Regional Manager of Ape Piaggio Srivatsan said the Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao was backing companies that were manufacturing electric vehicles in the State. Srivatsan said the government was giving free permits to the first 20,000 three-wheeler electric vehicles in the State thus saving Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 to vehicle users.
He further said that the auto drivers, who were running petrol and diesel shots, are spending Rs 3.50 to Rs 4.50 on every kilometre while they need to just spend just 60 paise to 70 paise on one kilometre on electric vehicles. The Regional Manager Ape Piaggio said that the journey will become very much cheaper with electric vehicles. He said that electric vehicles will almost produce no pollution. He also handed the vehicles over to several customers who purchased on the inaugural day of the showroom. MVI Srinivasulu and Venkatsai Motors MD Rajesh Yadav were present.
