Hyderabad: The State government has permitted commercial establishments (other than shops) to allow 10 hours of work daily subject to a weekly work hour limit of 48 hours under ease of doing business.

The Labour Department issued GO Ms 282 to this effect on Saturday. As per the orders, employees are entitled for overtime wages for the work done beyond 10 hours daily and 48 hours in a week. No employee is allowed to work for six hours in any day unless a 30-minute break is offered. The work period of an employee in an establishment should be arranged in a way that it does not spread over for more than 12 hours on any day.
