Hyderabad: The State government is providing an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 50,000 to the next of the kin of the deceased who died due to Covid-19. The facility to apply for official document for Covid-19 death (ODCD) and ex-gratia has been made available to people in Telangana through Meeseva online portal, which provides various other online services of the government.

More than 4,500 Meeseva centres are available across the State, which makes it easy for the general public to access the services being offered at these centres. The general public wishing to avail the ex-gratia facility can apply through Meeseva centres and official document of Covid-19 death will be issued online and ex-gratia is transferred directly to their accounts. People can also file their grievances online through the Meeseva centres.

An application has been made available with Meeseva centres and by filling the application forms including bank account details and by uploading relevant documents, the grievances can be addressed and ex-gratia amount can be transferred. All the details are available at all the Meeseva centres across Telangana.

The official document for Covid-19 death will be issued by Covid Death Ascertaining Committee (CDAC) that consists of District Collectors, its Chairman, DM&HO and Superintendent of the District Headquarter Hospital as its members. Once the CDAC issues death certificate, ex-gratia amount will be transferred to the bank account of the next of kin of the deceased.

Grievances, if any, can be made through Meeseva centres and the above committee will examine them. For details: 040-48560012 and for Meeseva support: meesevasupport@telangana.gov.in.
