Telangana Group-I officers begin foundation course at Dr MCR HRD Institute
The Combined Foundation Course for the second batch of 228 Telangana Group-I officers began at Dr MCR HRD Institute in Hyderabad. Officials stressed people-centric governance and urged officers to engage with rural stakeholders during their administrative training.

Hyderabad: The Combined Foundation Course for the second batch of 228 Group-I Officers of the State Government commenced on Monday at Dr MCR HRD Institute.
The Foundation Course will focus on issues relating to development with a human face, emerging challenges and field visits, in order to ensure that the knowledge, skills and abilities of the Group-I Officers remain broad-based, current and up-to-date, Vice-Chairperson and DG, Dr MCR HRD Institute, Santhi Kumari said.
Special Secretary (Finance), Sikta Patnaik, who was the chief guest, urged the Group-I Officers to work hard and reach out to different stakeholders across remote rural areas, rather than confining themselves to armchair administration.
On the occasion, Santhi Kumari and Sikta Patnaik released the course manual of the Foundation Course. Later, the DG also administered the Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution of India to the Group-I Officers. The inaugural function was attended by Course Director, H Arun Kumar, IAS (Retd), and other senior officials.
