Kothagudem: CPI (ML) party senior leader and former MLA Gummadi Narsaiah was allegedly insulted by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s office by denying him an appointment to meet the Chief Minister.
The former MLA was forced to wait outside the Chief Minister’s camp office in Jubilee Hills for hours on Thursday to meet Revanth Reddy and had to return back in humiliation after being ignored by officials and staff who did not allow him inside. Later speaking to the media, Narsaiah said he had tried to meet Revanth Reddy four times so far. He said he had gone to the Secretariat on Wednesday and was told that the Chief Minister was having a meeting with Ministers.
He said he wanted to meet Revanth Reddy to submit a petition on the issues of his constituency. The government and the Chief Minister were supposed to work for the public. It was sad that a former MLA was denied an audience with the Chief Minister, he lamented.
The former MLA sought to know whether Revanth Reddy did not like to meet persons like him or whether he did not want to discuss public issues.
