Telangana: Harish Rao meets Patnam Narender Reddy in Cherlapally jail

Hyderabad: BRS leader and former minister T Harish Rao met Kodangal ex-MLA Patnam Narender Reddy at the Cherlapally Jail on Thursday.
Narender Reddy, who was arrested in connection with the Lagacherla attack on the Vikarabad Collector, was remanded in judicial custody in the jail on Wednesday.
Harish Rao obtained formal permission for meeting him and accordingly, he was allowed to meet Narender Reddy in the presence of the prison staff.
Assuring party support to the BRS leader, he enquired about his health condition. Harish Rao was accompanied by BRS MLA Palla Rajeswar Reddy and others.
Villagers, angered by the proposed acquisition of their agricultural land in the area for a pharma village project, had attacked the Collector and other officials, causing damage to government vehicles. The police arrested Narender Reddy alleging that he had instigated the violence.
