Telangana State was formed on June 2, 2014, and Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was elected as the first Chief Minister of the new State. We celebrate this day as Telangana Formation Day. This day is the result of struggles by many for the new State and the rights of the people.
On this day the Chief Minister hoists the National flag. Telangana is the 29th State of our country and has progressed in all fields in a very short period. Chief Minister KCR introduced many welfare schemes which resulted in the growth of State on all fronts.
Telangana is known for its unique culture and festivals. Bathukamma, a floral festival, presents the special bond humans and nature share. The State has many tourist places and is a land to visit.
