Telangana HC directs government to file detailed counter on vacant posts in hospitals
Court was dealing with a PIL in which the petitioner contended that the authorities are not complying with the SC judgement of establishing the district hospitals and PHCs attached to the Medical Colleges
Hyderabad: A two-judge Bench of Telangana High Court, comprising acting Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Justice Dr G Radha Rani, on Thursday directed the State, Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department and others to file a detailed counter in the public interest litigation case pertaining to filling medical and paramedical staff posts in the government hospitals across Telangana.
The court was dealing with a PIL in which the petitioner contended that the authorities are not complying with the Supreme Court judgement of establishing the district hospitals and Community Health Centres, Primary Health Centres and hospitals attached to the Medical Colleges.
Further, the petitioner complained about vacant posts in existing hospitals. The respondent authorities filed counters. However, the Bench necessitated a detailed counter addressing all the issues raised in the public interest litigation case and posted the matter to February 20 for further hearing.
