Telangana health authorities to randomly check vaccine certificates

Hyderabad: The State health authorities have requested the general public to carry their vaccine certificates on person, as health teams will start randomly checking their vaccination status.  

The surveillance teams of the health department will conduct random checks at public areas and individuals will be asked to present their vaccination certificates.

The aim of conducting such random checks is to spread awareness and encourage public to take-up vaccination, in the backdrop of the recent reporting of the Omicron variant.
