Telangana High Court seeks probe status details from police in Janwada farmhouse case
Justice K Lakshman enquires with the Public Prosecutor Palle Nageshwar Rao, about the stage of investigation in the case

Hyderabad: Justice K Lakshman of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday sought to know from the Narsingi police the investigation stage in the Janwada farmhouse case in which Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was arraigned as an accused.
The criminal case booked in the year 2020 alleging the use of a drone to photograph the farmhouse at Janwada, allegedly propagated that the farmhouse belongs to Rama Rao.
Justice Lakshman dealing with the quash petition filed by Revanth Reddy enquired with the Public Prosecutor Palle Nageshwar Rao, the stage of investigation in the case. At the request of the Public Prosecutor, the case was posted on March 19.
In another quash petition filed by Revanth Reddy seeking directions for quashing the criminal case filed against him for offences under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Justice Lakshman granted time to the Public Prosecutor and de facto complainant Peddi Raju to file their counters in the case.
The case, involving Revanth Reddy and his brother, A Kondal Reddy, relates to a dispute over a six-acre and 24 gunta piece of land located at Gopanpally in Serilingampally mandal.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by N Peddi Raju and others before the Gachibowli police. The allegations claim that Revanth Reddy and Kondal Reddy assaulted, threatened, and verbally abused the individuals, using caste-based slurs.
