Telangana history-themed ‘Bommala Palleki’ video competition announced
Kotha Telangana Charitra Brundam has announced ‘Bommala Palleki’, a video competition aimed at showcasing Telangana’s history, culture and natural beauty through visual storytelling. Participants can submit Telugu videos under multiple themes before the May 29 deadline.

Hyderabad: The Kotha Telangana Charitra Brundam is organising a video competition, ‘Bommala Palleki’, to bring Telangana’s rare history, culture and natural beauty closer to the present generation through visual and audiovisual media.
The competition is open for videos in Telugu reflecting Telangana’s history, culture or nature, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes in 16:9 landscape aspect ratio. The sub-themes include local history (vlogging), unknown or lesser-known history, AI-generated historical visuals, food culture, extinct or traditional objects, narration of rare photographs, natural resources and cultural festivals.
A press release said the videos must be original creations with a minimum resolution of 720p, while Full HD 1080p is preferred. If ancient words or dialectal terms are used, adding Telugu or English subtitles will earn additional merit.
Winners will be selected based on evaluation by a panel of experts and public popularity. The last date for video submission is May 29, while the official screening will be held on June 2.
