Hyderabad: A park land measuring 2,000 sq yards was reclaimed by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency on Saturday from encroachers at Thumukunta village under Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

The North Park Avenue residents lodged a complaint with HYDRAA in Prajavani regarding encroachment of land, measuring 2,000 sq yards, earmarked for park in the layout. But, a land shark claimed that the park belonged to him and demolished the compound wall and swimming pool.

After HYDRAA checked the revenue records and layout of the venture thoroughly, they found the park land being encroached by land sharks.

‘Lodge complaints on nala encroachments’

As rains flood nalas resulting in inundation of nearby areas, HYDRAA has urged people to lodge complaints on nala encroachments in Prajavani, held every Monday.

Accordingly, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath asked officials concerned to receive the complaints. He also said that the receiving of the complaints on nala encroachments will be continued in June and July.
