Karimnagar: Stage is all set to inaugurate 67 double bedroom houses constructed in Kamanpur of Kothapalli mandal.
BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar will inaugurate the double bedroom houses on December 19. Besides distributing house pattas to beneficiaries on the occasion of mass housing warming ceremony, the Minister will also take part in a community lunch.
Since the construction of houses was completed, the Minister instructed the officials and public representatives to make arrangements for the distribution of documents of the houses to beneficiaries.
Kamalakar, in a statement released here on Friday, said that a total of 1,400 double bedroom houses have been sanctioned to Karimnagar Assembly constituency. Construction of houses has somehow been delayed due to Covid pandemic.
Except at a few places, the construction of double bedroom houses was going on fast track mode in the constituency. In some areas, work has been delayed due to technical problems, he said.
It was decided to distribute the house pattas to beneficiaries in a phased manner since the works of basic facilities were completed. The dream of owning a house of Kamanpur residents is going to be fulfilled with the distribution of house pattas on Sunday.
In the first phase, 67 houses were sanctioned to Kamanpur village. Ramulammapalli, which was submerged in LMD dam, was given priority in the first phase. In the second phase, other homeless people would be given priority.
Minister instructed officials to allocate houses to genuine beneficiaries without giving any scope for irregularities.
Houses distribution progamme would be taken up in Elgandal and Khazipur villagers soon, he informed.
