Telangana: Infant’s body found dumped in stream at Keshnayak Thanda

A newborn’s body was found dumped in a stream at Keshnayak Thanda in Akkannapet, triggering public outrage. Police have launched a probe. This comes a day after another infant was found dead in a dustbin at Zaheerabad Area Hospital

Siddipet: The body of a newborn infant was found dumped in a stream at Keshnayak Thanda in Akkannapet mandal on Sunday, triggering shock and outrage in the area.

According to the police, locals alerted authorities after spotting the body floating in the stream. Sub-Inspector Prasanth reached the location and shifted the body to the government hospital in Husnabad.


Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace those responsible for dumping the infant. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, police officials said, adding that all angles were being probed.

On Saturday, the body of a male infant was found dumped in a dustbin inside the canteen of the Area Hospital in Zaheerabad.
