Hyderabad: Intermediate students will sit for their scheduled mathematics, botany and political science examination a day later than earlier planned.

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) has made a change to the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2026 schedule in view of the holiday declared by the State government for Holi festival in March, 2026.

The Mathematics’ paper-IIA, Botany paper-II, and Political Science paper – II, which had been originally scheduled for March 3, will now be conducted on March 4.

“The government declared March 3 as a closed holiday for Holi in the recently notified general and optional holidays order. So, we have made only one change in the second-year mathematics, botany and political science exam date, which will now be conducted on March 4 instead of March 3. The rest of the exams will be held as per the schedule notified earlier,” TG BIE Secretary S Krishna Aditya told ‘Telangana Today’.

As announced earlier, intermediate examinations will begin on February 25, with second language paper – I for first intermediate students. Second-year exams will commence with the second language paper – II on February 26.

Major examinations for the first and second-year students will conclude with Chemistry paper – I and II on March 12 and 13 respectively, while the minor examinations will end with Modern Language paper – II and Geography paper – II on March 18.
