Sangareddy: Former Andole MLA and BRS leader Chanti Kranthi Kiran exposed the poor quality of lining works of Singur canals.

The former BRS MLA, who went on inspecting the lining works under the Singur project on Friday, tried to lift a piece of cement bed, which broke into two pieces, leaving the BRS leaders in a shock.

Speaking on the occasion, Kranthi Kiran accused Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha of resort in to corruption in Singur canal lining works.

Saying that the government granted Rs 150 crore for the work, he said that contractors, engineers and the Minister colluded and used poor quality of the material. Kranthi Kiran said that Damodara Rajanarasimha had given the work to his benamis.

Demanding that the government carry out a transparent survey to identify the culprits, he asked the government to punish the contractor and engineers for poor quality work. Otherwise, he threatened to stall the works by mobilising a huge number of BRS cadres and farmers.
