Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has thrown down the gauntlet at Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka over his claim that “almost all” of the Congress government’s Six Guarantees have been implemented. He offered to quit politics if either Bhatti Vikramarka or any of his Cabinet colleagues could prove it.
“If Bhatti Vikramarka and his cabinet colleagues have the courage, let them visit any village and tell people that all guarantees have been implemented. If they are not chased away, I will quit politics permanently,” he said.
In a statement, Rama Rao said the Congress leadership was brazenly misleading the public, recalling that ahead of the 2023 elections, party leaders distributed the guarantee cards and promised to fulfil all pledges within 100 days of coming to power.
“It has been nearly two years, and not a single guarantee has been implemented properly. This is nothing but deceiving the people,” he charged.
He said people were chasing away Congress leaders out of villages after witnessing the latter’s deception and empty propaganda on the six guarantees and 420 other promises in the manifesto. He asserted that the falsehoods and propaganda of the Congress on implementing the Six Guarantees would be met with a fitting reply from the people in every village of Telangana.
