Telangana Legislature announces committees for 2026-27
The Telangana Legislature has announced the constitution of Welfare and other Joint Committees, Legislative Assembly Committees and Legislative Council Committees for 2026-27, appointing chairpersons for various panels, including Kadiyam Srihari, Medipally Sathyam, Payam Venkateswarlu and others
Hyderabad: The Telangana Legislature on Monday announced the constitution of Welfare and other Joint Committees, Legislative Council Committees and Legislative Assembly Committees for the year 2026-27.
The Committee on Subordinate Legislation has been constituted with 11 members, with Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari as its Chairman.
The Speaker will be the Chairman of the Committee on Amenities, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Sathyam is the Chairman of the Committee on Welfare for Scheduled Castes, Pinapaka MLA Payam Venkateswarlu is the Chairman of the Committee on Welfare for Scheduled Tribes, Ramagundam MLA Makhan Singh Raj Thakur is the Chairman of the Committee on Welfare of Backward Classes, Sathupally MLA Matta Ragamayee is the Chairman of the Committee on Library, Narayanpet MLA Chittem Parnika Reddy is the Chairman of the Committee on Welfare of Women, Children, Disabled and the Old Aged, Jukkal MLA Laxmi Kantha Rao Thota is the Chairman of the Committee on Welfare of Minorities, and the Speaker is the Chairman of the Committee on Wildlife and Environment Protection.
Similarly, the Legislative Assembly Committees have also been announced. The Deputy Speaker is the Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and the Committee on Privileges, Narayankhed MLA Patlolla Sanjeeva Reddy is the Chairman of the Committee on Government Assurances, the Speaker is the Chairman of the Rules Committee, and Parkal MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy is the Chairman of the Committee on Ethics.
Likewise, the Legislative Council Committees have also been constituted. The Deputy Chairman is the Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Privileges, Kethavat Shankar is the Chairman of the Committee on Government Assurances, the Council Chairman is the Chairman of the Committee on Rules, Challa Venkatram Reddy is the Chairman of the Committee on Papers Laid on the Table, and Mahesh Kumar Goud is the Chairman of the Committee on Ethics.
