Pug marks of a leopard reportedly found at Brahmalakunta village of Penuballi mandal in Khammam district.
Khammam: Forest officials have alerted the residents of Brahmalakunta village of Penuballi mandal in the district in view of the reported movements of a leopard in the surroundings of the village.
Forest officials told the villagers that the leopard’s pug marks were found at the village near the Puli Gundala project and those who were going for agricultural work should go only in groups. Villagers were also asked not to venture out in the night.
The local FDO Bharath advised the villagers to inform the forest officials if they spotted the leopard and not to cause any harm to it. However, the villagers said that the forest officials were yet to confirm the pug marks spotted at the project area belong to a leopard.
