Hyderabad: Telangana on Thursday has registered 3944 Covid-19 infections out of which 1372 positive cases were from areas under GHMC. The health authorities also have reported three Covid-19 fatalities on Thursday, taking the overall number of deaths in TS to 4,081.

The active Covid-19 positive infections in Telangana, as on Thursday have surged to 39,520 with nearly 36,000 active cases in areas within GHMC.


Apart from Hyderabad, Omicron driven Covid infections are registering significant increase in other urban centres of Telangana with authorities reporting 288 cases from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 259 cases in Rangareddy district, 117 from Hanumakonda, 120 from Sangareddy, 104 from Siddipet, 135 from Khammam, 105 from Nizamabad and 91 from Nalgonda.
The health department conducted 97,549 Covid tests on Thursday out of which results of 5,537 samples were awaited. On Thursday, 2,444 individuals had recovered with a recovery rate of 94.20 per cent.

So far, a total of 3,17,76,018 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 7,51,099 have tested positive and 7,07,498 persons have recovered.
