Telangana logs 3,980 new Covid infections, 3 fatalities on Monday

Hyderabad: Telangana on Monday registered 3,980 Covid-19 infections out of which 1,439 positive cases were from areas under GHMC. The health authorities also have reported three Covid-19 fatalities on Monday, taking the overall number of deaths in TS to 4,075. The active Covid-19 positive infections in the State, as on Monday have surged to 33,673.
Apart from Hyderabad, Omicron driven Covid infections are registering significant increase in other urban centres with authorities reporting 344 cases from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 234 cases in Rangareddy district, 159 from Hanamkonda, 110 from Khammam, 95 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 92 from Karimnagar and 94 from Mahabubnagar.
The health department conducted 97,113 Covid tests on Monday out of which results of 7,852 samples were awaited. On Monday, 2,398 individuals had recovered with a recovery rate of 94.89 per cent.
So far, a total of 3,14,75,932 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 7,38,795 have tested positive and 7,01,047 persons have recovered.
