Mancherial: The body of a man, who drowned in the Godavari river, was traced at Parupalli village in Kotapalli mandal on Thursday.

Police said the body of Radandi Rajesh was spotted around 500 metres away from the place where he drowned on Wednesday. Rajesh fell into the river while taking a holy dip on Maha Shivaratri.

Expert divers found the body after around four hours of searching. The body was handed over to Rajesh’s family after a post-mortem examination.
