Jagtial: The charred body of a man, Gatham Thirupati, was found in his home in Myadampalli of Mallial mandal early on Thursday.

Villagers suspect that while Thirupati was sleeping in the house alone, a short circuit could have triggered a fire and he could have been trapped inside the house. Fire service personnel reached the spot and are examining.

Thirupathi is survived by his wife, two children and mother. Based on a complaint lodged by his wife, police registered the case and are investigating.
