A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl in Jannaram mandal on Monday

Mancherial: A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl in Jannaram mandal on Monday.

According to police, the accused, Mothe Arjun of Mandapalli village, was apprehended on charges of kidnapping and sexually assaulting the girl. He was produced before a court in Luxettipet and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.

During interrogation, Arjun reportedly confessed to luring the girl under the pretext of love and marriage before committing the offence.
