Telangana: Man killed by relatives on suspicion of practicing black magic in Kothagudem
The two accused persons surrender before the police and confess to the murder and throwing the body into a village tank
Kothagudem: A man was killed by his relatives on suspicion of performing black magic, at Z Veerabhadrapuram village in Dummugudem mandal of the district on Tuesday. The accused later surrendered before the police.
According to the police, Komaram Ramudu went missing on March 3 and his wife Lakshmi Devi complained to the Dummugudem police on March 16.
During the investigation, two persons Komaram Venkateswara Rao and Paddam Balaraju were found to be suspects and they were absconding since the police began investigation.
The accused, with the help of the village elder and a government employee, surrendered to the police. They confessed to their crime stating that they killed Ramudu and threw his body into a village tank as he was causing trouble to their families performing black magic.
Based on their information, the police recovered the body from the village tank. The accused were arrested and they would be produced in the Bhadrachalam court on Wednesday for judicial remand, the police said.
