Telangana: Man kills wife for failing to give birth to male child in Kagaznagar mandal of Asifabad
The accused confessed to hitting her on the head with an iron implement with the help of his sibling and nephew
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A man, his sibling, and nephew were arrested on Friday on the charges of murdering his wife at Vanjari village in Kagaznagar mandal late on Wednesday night. A farm tool was seized from them.
Kagaznagar Rural police, in a statement, said that Doke Jayaram, his brother Buraiah, and nephew Balesh were apprehended while moving suspiciously at a bus stand in the village.
The three were accused of murdering Jayaram’s wife Poshakka by hitting her on the head with an iron farm implement.
On being interrogated, Jayaram confessed to committing the crime with the assistance of Buraiah and Balesh.
He admitted to killing his wife for failing to give birth to a baby boy and for quarrelling with her neighbours, Buraiah and Balesh.
He revealed that he had hit the head of Poshakka with the tool, resulting in her instantaneous death.
