Mulugu: Maoists have hacked to death two persons accusing them of being police informants in Penugolu colony of Wajedu mandal on Thursday night, reports said.
The Maoists have left notes, signed by area secretary ‘Shanta’, near the bodies claiming that both the deceased persons were collecting information and passing it on to the SIB, an elite intelligency agency involved in counter-insurgency operations.
The murdered were identified as Uika Ramesh and Uika Arjun. Ramesh is working as the secretary of Peruru Gram Panchayat in Vajedu mandal.
According to reports,  Maoist Party Wajedu Venkatapuram Area Secretary Shantha released a statement confirming the party’s role in the killing of the two persons.
