Medak: After farmers in Medak were forced to wait in queues for urea, residents found themselves standing in long lines on Thursday to secure an LPG cylinder.
For the past four days, Bharat Gas agency in Medak town has not delivered cylinders despite customers having booked them. The delay sparked panic, with hundreds of residents carrying empty cylinders and rushing to the agency as news of a shortage spread across the town and surrounding areas.
With Dasara festival approaching, the rush intensified. Agency representatives attributed the shortage to a strike by truck owners who usually transport gas to the town, saying this had disrupted supplies.
Officials of Maha Laxmi Gas Agency assured customers that stocks would be replenished within the next couple of days and the situation would return to normal.
