Hyderabad: In interesting political developments on Monday, Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy met Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar, while Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

While the Irrigation Minister met the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister at Begumpet Airport, Agriculture Minister met the Andhra Pradesh CM at Undavalli.

“On the way to Nizamabad Municipal Corporation elections, accidentally met and interacted with my friend and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar at Begumpet Airport today,” Uttam Kumar Reddy said on X.

The Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister arrived in Hyderabad to attend a programme. It was an accidental meeting as he arrived at Begumpet and the Minister was about to depart to Nizamabad from the airport, sources said.

On the other hand, Tummala Nageswara Rao urged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to transfer the five panchayats, including Yetapaka, Kannaigudem, Picchikulapadu, Purushothapatnam and Gundala that have been merged with Andhra Pradesh.

The Minister urged him to allot five acres of land at Tirumala for Telangana government. Stressing on coordination between the two States, he further appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister to release 85 percent funds for Peddavagu repair works and initiate repairs on the Bhadrachalam retaining wall at the Andhra Pradesh end.

“Strive for the construction of Sattupally – Kovvuru Railway line and Penballi – Amaravathi railway line,” Nageswara Rao urged Chandrababu Naidu.
