Sangareddy: In a shocking incident, some unidentified miscreants broke open the shutter of the State Bank of India branch in Jogipet town and attempted to steal the ATM machine inside. When they failed in their bid, the miscreants set the ATM machine on fire to open it and steal cash from it. But, they did not succeed in their effort.
The ATM machine has completely damaged in the incident. The accused took all due care to ensure that their act was not recorded in CCTV cameras by disconnecting them before starting their work. Following a complaint lodged by the bank staff on Monday morning, Jogipet Police rushed to the spot. After examining the crime scene, the police began checking CCTV cameras in adjacent shops to get some clues on the miscreants. Further investigation is on.
