Hyderabad: Montessori School, Alampur, successfully conducted a Mock Indian Constituent Assembly to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the Constitution and democratic governance.

The event commenced with Principal P Nagalakshmi lighting the ceremonial lamp. Students of Class IX took an active role in explaining the formation of the Indian Constitution, the parliamentary system, and the core principles of democracy, and also enacted the roles of prominent leaders such as Dr BR Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Sarojini Naidu, and KM Munshi.

Director KNV Ravi Prakash emphasised that such mock sessions not only enhance students’ understanding of the democratic system but also help instill leadership qualities. He highlighted the importance of democratic values and national integration in shaping responsible citizens.
