Telangana Model School in Karimnagar inundated after heavy rains

Heavy rainfall in Karimnagar’s Saidapur mandal caused nearby cheruvus to overflow, inundating Telangana Model School in Somaram. Hostel students were stranded, but parents, with help from local residents, safely evacuated them as floodwaters submerged the school premises

Karimnagar: Telangana Model School in Somaram of Saidapur mandal was inundated due to heavy floodwaters. All nearby water bodies, including Nyalacheruvu, Akunuru Cheruvu and Thummala Cheruvu, were overflowing following heavy rainfall on Thursday night. As a result, the model school was submerged.

Parents panicked as hostel students were stranded. With the help of local residents, parents brought the students safely out of the hostel.
